    This quarter, we learnt about community-based research, its components, and how we might use it in our community. Learning community-based research is not tough because I am already familiar with the many types of research because we have a research subject that primarily focuses on writing research papers. I have no difficulty comprehending the issue, but I am having difficulty writing my research because I am not very good at writing essays. I solved this barrier by reading previous community-based research as my guide in creating my own. This quarter the learning/discoveries that I have gathered are the usage of HTML and how to use it to make web page. I learned the different tags used to do specific task on the web page. I have no problems because the lessons can be easily understand with the help of examples and in depth explanations, there is only one challenge that I encountered, it’s difficult to be organize in notepad, you can easily forget where are the tags in your document. I address this challenge by using a other text editor like VScode, it provides more organized and productive features so I can make my code a lot easier to read and navigate. Moving on I will continue on learning new things and improving my knowledge on programming to prepare my future career.

                       Vigan City fiesta celebration should be handled carefully with strict health protocols to make sure everyone participating the fiesta are safe. To avoid big crowds that can lead to massive spread of covid-19 virus we must limit the number of people allowed to go the festival.                      With enough preparation and discipline we can prevent the spread of the virus and at the same time we can celebrate our beloved fiestas and enjoy with our family without the worry of being infected by the virus.

         A year had ended and a new year is born 2022! I still can’t believe it’s been two years since 2020, I hope this year will make a difference from the past two years because the last two years aren’t the best for all of us. I hope this year and the following year will be better to help us recover from the bad years. I don’t believe the saying “New year New Me” because I won’t wait until the end of the years just to change my bad habits, If I want to change I will do it know.            New year new pages for the book, I’m looking forward to meet new people and make new friends this year. I’m also looking forward to learn to my mistakes and learn from others, trying new things and improving the things you already do are the best possible ways to spend this year and your life to the fullest.

  Celebration of Christmas Season in its essence, amidst The COVID-19 Pandemic This would probably be one in contemporary history when we are encouraged to celebrate the Christmas season in its essence, in its simplicity. With a focus on the COVID-19 virus, we are preoccupied with guidelines on how to celebrate Christmas this year with only members of the family who are living in the same household, to continue wearing mask, observe social distancing, or to wash hands frequently. We are being discouraged from visiting one another for our mutual protection and safety. The usual Christmas glee and merriment that we have been accustomed to is not possible this year.   My insights on    the 2021 National Children’s month celebration with the theme: “New Normal Na Walang Iwanan: Karapatang ng bawat Bata Ating tutukan!”. Children needs help in education during the pandemic, they need guidance and attention, the new normal is a way to protect all people specially students and younger children. The new normal helps and protect children during the pandemic and this is good because children are one of the most fragile people in our society, so its our responsibility to protect and guide them toward greatness.

                The first quarter is fine some subjects are difficult, some are quite easy, some are in the middle. The first quarter is just the start of something bigger and more difficult topics but I'm not worried because teachers are there to help. The learning/discoveries that I have learned in ICT is about the history of internet and how it began and how it improved through the years. What I learned in Science is about the geology of the earth and I gained more understanding on how the earth as it is now. What I learned in every subjects are very interesting and I'm intrigued about the things that I don't know. The problems and challenges that I have encountered are my short attention span, procrastination and me being uninterested but I soon overcome them by simply motivating myself. Moving on, I will do all my best in answering all my modules and I will try my best to pass all my modules in time.            ...

The COVID-19 pandemic have been a challenge to all of us, some of our practices must be changed so it suits the health protocols that is being implemented by government to help control the virus spreading. Schools are no exception, face to face is heavily restricted so we find alternative way to deliver education to the comfort of the students home. There are two ways Modular and Online Class, since I’m in a public school I’m focusing on Modular Learning. The quality of education given by modular heavily depends on the student’s ability to learn independently, not all students have this ability. So this is where parents come in to play, parents can help tutor their child with their modules but not all parents have time and education to teach their child. The quality of education during COVID-19 pandemic is not equal to all students.  

  Filipinos are known for their reliance, their ability to adapt to their environment but it’s tested when the COVID-19 pandemic has brought upon the world with challenges. Almost all countries had to shut down their economies to halt the spread of the virus and the Philippines is one of those countries who have taken strict measures by implementing the enhanced community quarantine on 15 March 2020. The lockdown did help in controlling the spread of the virus and apparently, the Philippines is already flattening the curve. The number cases reported in the country is no longer growing at an exponential rate, however, flattening the curve does not necessarily mean that the Philippines is winning its battle against the pandemic. There are other measures to consider to ultimately say that a country is winning the battle.

Dear President of the Philippines,        Dear President, Your position is the most powerful position in the government, you have the ability to lead the country to its success, you can help this country by solving problems, specially now during a pandemic. President Duterte can you please focus and help our fellow Filipinos during this pandemic and end it once and for all.
